This might interest some.  It's an account of the first simultaneous
publication of automatically typeset news across the Atlantic.
Accomplished using Teletypesetter equipment, Intertype linecasters,
and a Digitronics "Dial-o-verter" modem (I think you'd call it a modem)
reading 6-level TTS tape.  1960.
