Contact HAL directly, they will sell you a new spankin' manual! Because they
still sell these cheaply, no one makes them available electronically. This
will help support the great company that made so many innovations and
contributions to the RTTY hobby

Where are the HAL ST-5000 manuals?
this is really curious... ended up with a HAL ST-5000 TU today... hard to
say if it works... I am sure they sold a lot of these... but no manuals
out on the net.... no manuals on their site although they have later
manuals...
I turned it on and heard something click...(a relay perhaps?!) no light up
on the pilot lite and no meter movement... and NO DOCS!...
Well.. even if it is blasted I can use it as a visual in the Amateur
radio display.
