Hi All,
 
Long time no post. I have been quite busy taking care of things up here north of Kansas City. XYL has had her L4-L6 fused on Dec 21, and is finally able to drive a little bit. Docs said seven more months and she will be glad that she had this done, but until then, that she will hate him. The latest feline addition to the family has been surgically altered so that there will be no kittens in her future (and for us, no midnight caterwauling at the top of her lungs). 
 
On the TTY front, I have finally gotten a special place for my machines. I was originally going to have an out building built, but with all of the unexpected additions to the house hold, that will have to wait. For now, a very nice room at ground level has been finished for my machines and radios, complete with walk out sliding glass door to the back yard. I love it as the morning sunlight comes in and is quite enjoyable for both human and feline.
 
I have gotten my TTYs arranged and hooked up, and am proud to say that Heavy Metal is a permanent fixture now residing on a dedicated computer and is translated from RS-232 into Baudot via a Black Box that was very kindly given to me by K0TTY. Kids love to watch the "typing machines" print off the newslets. Next step is ITTY, and the re-capping of the TL/2 is progressing slowly. I will now be able to start working on that model 28 TD that (I suspect) has 100 WPM gears in it. I want to clean and lubricate it as well as get the gear part number and look for a 60 WPM gear (if that is the issue with the garbled text). After that, the next step is to get that really cool M28 tape printer that Steve Garrison brought to me last summer cleaned and running. 
 
Sorry it has been so long since my last post, but these last few months have been nuts. We went from being a couple of dinks with a few cats and a dog to having three full time kids (grandkids, long story), my mother in law and four cats and two dogs, with my wife's surgery thrown in for good measure. After making all of the adjustments to schedules, house modifications, and the like, I can finally get back into my telecoms hobbies, and will be regularly posting again.
