[GreenKeys] MMTTY garbly goop

Hi John - - -

There are a number of steps in setting up MMTTY that just kind of
grow on you as you learn to use it.

The thing I see wrong right off the bat is that you have the REV
button depressed. Depressing REV causes the Mark and Space tones to
be reversed, and running ITTY will give you garble.

The ATC is helpful when you have marginal signal conditions, as it
helps to keep the switching threshold from mark to space right
around the zero crossing point .

The MMTTY homepage has links to some pretty in-depth explanations on
how to set the program up under a wide variety of system
configurations.

I urge you to take the time to print it all out and read everything
and then slowly experiment with setting it up.

Were I home I would ask for your phone number and try and talk you
through it, but I am currently in the hospital in Port Angeles, WA
and trying to respond to just the most important of the e-mails.

Team viewer works pretty well fo remote computer control but I just
am not quite lucid enough to function well and really get into
things.

I hereby ask some of the folk of the GreenKeys Group to contact you
and lend a hand.

George - W7TTY
