And after Carly Fiorina destroyed Lucent, she went after
Hewlett-Packard.

I don't know how many employees Lucent had - but Hewlett-Packard
had around 150,000 as I recall.

She *HATED* being told that "that isn't the way we do things here at
Hewlett-Packard" SOOOOOO MUCHHHH - that she went out of her way
to remove "Hewlett-Packard" and replace it with "HP".

She wanted to get rid of the Hewlett-Packardites SO BADLY that she
offered a severance package called the "15-50":

If you were with Hewlett-Packard for at least 15 years.
And were at least 50 years old.
Here's what we'll give you to get the (heck) out of here:

o You get ALL your vacation time paid-out.
o You get ALL your sick time paid-out.
o We'll give you a year's salary into your 401K - so it is tax-deferred.
o We'll pick-up our share of major medical - for life.

Well, - in THIS economy, if some one offers to pick up MAJOR MEDICAL,
how long, do you think, it will take you - to come up with the RIGHT ANSWER?
