I worked on and restored a T32Lo as a period machine to drive the Lorenz
SZ42 cipher machine I also restored at Bletchley Park. In fact the SZ42 is
currently waiting for me to install a new mains transformer, which has
stalled because my good friend Tony Sale (the guy who rebuilt Colossus) died
some months ago quite suddenly. Also this crucial WWII German cipher
machine not only uses Teletype selectors, but is assembled with US threaded
fasterners, and the transformers are wound with British wire gauge enamelled
wire! In fact one of the selector magnets was faulty, so I used a drop-in
replacement from an old and sad model 14.
