I was also in communication with the seller when the starting price was $3,500. Suggested that he/she do a little more market research and why no one in their right mind would ever Pay $3,500. They re-listed at $1,000 which is exactly $1,000 more than I paid for my complete model 19 .
Cheers,
Steve R.

I've been in communication with the seller. I gently suggested that amongst those who want Teletype equipment the interest might be thin (and I suggested putting "Teletype" in the listing heading rather than just "teletypewriter"...which clearly came straight off the metal label on the front of the M15!). They replied they were " try[ing] to market to the mass Antique collector as well." In other words, to people who are in the dark. Not a bad move, and boy would we be surprised if somebody bit!

Yes, if this keeps up my wife may have to rethink her "when are you going to get rid of this junk" position!

"Such a Deal" - Actually the M15 printer appears in pretty good mechanical shape (except keycaps.)
Antique Bell System Teletypewriter No.15 "TWX" Machine & Desk, Western Electric
I'd have committed Murder & Mayhem for this when I was 15.
