Hi All
The danisk IT museum has received a Hasler SP 300 teleprinter (Swiss
company). However, the only documentation provided, was a user manual. The
museum would be very grateful if someone could provide technical
information, diagrams, etc
The teleprinter is meant to be a part of a working Gentex-like (*) telegraph
office. At present, I have the following printer types working : Siemens
T100, Siemens T1000S, GNT, Teletype ASR33, plus 1 I cant remember.
Gentex was the european system for message switching, used by national PTT's
for the exchange of telegrams and for telex traffic. Some commercial
companies were also connected to it, like Imperial (Antwerpen), Commercial
(yes, that was their name), plus some east-european cities like Berlin
(DDR), Praha, Warszawa. Gentex went out of service in the late70's in some
countries, and in the 80's, killed by telefax.
Thanks
Nico
