Thanks to everyone for all the input regarding the Siemens machines. I am
going to keep an eye on them. I already contacted the seller and asked if I
could pickup these rather than ship them. The seller agreed and is located
in Toronto. I could use a day trip out of the office and these are only 4
hours away. I made him a non-auction proposal for both machines. We will see
what happens.
Cheers,

In my eyes the Siemens 100 (T 100) series is the best ever built mechanical
teleprinter.
Very reliable. Just give them a few drops of oil from time to time and you
will have
fun with them until the end of your life..and even longer... ;-)
The mentioned machines are basically RO versions. It looks as the second one
was later modified (added) by a keyboard to a KSR but without the original
keyboard frame.
The keyboard surrounding frame is kind of "home made".
The switch with the cross in the front of the machine inidicates that it is
fitted with an
answerback unit (Here is).
The "Who is?" iron cross on the second level of the "D" key shows that it is
an ITA2 machine.
Very interesting machines and worth to be saved by someone.
For me they are worth any asked Dollar, since they are quite rare on the
other
side of the pond.
BTW: They are not as heavy as model 15s.
have fun !

The Siemens "model 100" was a family name, like the Teletype Corp. M28
family. At the AWA Museum, we have a Siemens 100 that is an ASR. It is
not much larger than the KSR, just has the added tape reader & punch on
either side.
I don't have much experience with them, but from what I've heard, they
are very good machines. Heavy - about the same as a M15. I don't know
if it is worth $100 plus shipping, unless you want to round out your
collection.
Have fun,
Duncan
