Keelan is correct - at present Linotypes may still be found, if one
tries hard enough. Indeed, at leat three GreenKeyers have done so -
Keelan, another, and myself. Over the last 3 1/2 years, I've hauled
home eight of them, in various stages of disrepair. One is actually
working. Pictures:

There is a small, but active, community of folks involved in preserving
thse machines (and related equipment). Indeed, there is still a
*travelling* Linotype repairman (Dave Seat, of Hot Metal Services)
who remains very busy (though most of his work is on related machines -
Ludlow Typographs and various presses, mostly).
They are a great deal of work, a great deal of fun, and utterly addictive.
They'll also warp your perspective such that a Teletype will never
seem heavy again :-)

David M.
