I don't have a mini -- I use an emulator called SIMH to run the HP2000
on a Mac and Windows. I have a decommissioned blade server that i'd
like to mount in the base of my ASR35 - this way it would be like
having a timesharing terminal, without the minicomputer.
The guy who decommissioned the HP2000 we used kept a backup image of
the last tape dump, and I found him on the Yahoo Groups SIMH listserv.
He provided the image file and I restored it, and got access to all
the great games (STARTREK, BLJACK, GOLF, SLOTS, etc) that I played as
a kid.
MUCH more retro than old video game cabinet / consoles. I'd say,
ultimate retro entertainment...
I wish I did have a real HP2000 or even HP3000 (I loved the HP3000's MPE OS).
At least we can live on in emulation.
And now I can run MVS as well (HERCULES emulator)...
