Ribbons are intermittently available on ebay. The last time I posted
about ribbons on 12 Apr 2009 there were some here:

I have a complete set of M43 documentation and I will be happy to look

As I mentioned above, I have service manuals. They are in the "to be
scanned" pile, but since they are bound as a booklet and not loose
leaf, it means a bunch of manual page scanning.

I *think* there might have been a 20mA current loop option for these,
but most were prewired for either modem use (phone jack) or RS-232
use.
