I've been working to clean up a lot of my RTTY Art paper tapes and convert all of them to text files. While going though the boxe, I came across this long forgotten technical article on "The Abysstor". A quick Google search didn't provide any hits so I thought that I would share this breakthrough technology with the Greenkeys group.
If any of you have access to venture capital funding and would like to chat about the possibilities of development, it appears that this project was never pursued and is therefore as Wall Street would say "its up for grabs". THE ABYSSTOR
WORD HAS JUST LEAKED OUT ABOUT A NEW BREAKTHROUGH IN THE
SEMI-CONDUCTOR FIELD...
THE LATEST VERSION OF THE PAIRED OR TWO TERMINAL TRANSISTOR
IS THE PARASITIC. OR ONE TERMINAL, TRANSISTOR. KNOWN AT PRESENT AS
THE ABYSSTOR, THE NAME DERIVED FROM "ABYSS" A CHASM, THIS DEVICE HAS
ATTRACTED ATTENTION BECAUSE IT HAS ONLY ONE TERMINAL, AN INPUT.
BY VIRTUE OF A LONG KNOWN AND NOW HIGHLY REFINED TECHNIQUE
CALLED "BUNCHING", THE HOLES PRESENT IN ANY TRANSISTOR ARE COLLECTED,
CONGREGATED AND GROUPED IN SUCH A WAY OR MANNER AS TO FORM A VAST

ABSORBED AND DRAWN INTO THE LIMITLESS SPACE.
BECAUSE THE ABYSSTOR HAS ONLY ONE TERMINAL, IT IS ADAPTABLE
TO MANY APPLICATIONS IN THE COMMUNICATIONS FIELD. ITS ABSORPTION
CHARACTERISTICS MAKE IT VALUABLE AS A LOW PASS OR A HIGH PASS FILTER.
JUDICIOUS COMBINATION OF BOTH PROVIDES A HIGHLY DISCRIMINATORY BAND
PASS FILTER.
IN HEAVIER DUTY, WITHOUT HAVING TO MEET FREQUENCY LIMITATIONS,
IT CAN SERVE AS A DIGIT ABSORBER IN COMPUTER SYSTEMS, A DIGIT DELETER
IN ANALOG SYSTEMS, OR, IN ALL SYSTEMS, AS A FINAL TERMINATION OF
CONVERSATIONS WITH PEOPLE WITH WHOM YOU NEVER CARED TO TALK WITH IN
THE FIRST PLACE.
