[GreenKeys] cover cleaning

Of course I can't understand any of your concerns since I am not a "vintage" person. I only worry about "does it work?" and so, to me, paint is a really good solution to concerns of appearance. And I can just imagine how some of you would react to a project on my bench at the moment where I am taking a perfectly good BC-453-B and slightly modifying it to accept becoming the new case for a Flex Radio Model 1500 software defined transceiver. From a few feet away it looks pretty much as it did in 1950 but in fact it can receive and transmit on every band from the new 478 kHz to six meters in addition to working with AM, CW, SSB and several dozen digital modes!

And I really do like the way my Models 14, 15 ASR/KSR, 26, 28 ASR/KSR look! (and work)

No, I won't bother you with the lubricants I use!

  Wayne,

There is a lot of talk in the vintage computer world about a product called Retr0bright that removes yellowing from covers, I believe it's considered an alternative to bleach.
