Well, folks, the good news is, Jerry will be released from HealthSouth on 8/27.  However, where he goes depends on whether they feel I will be able to care for him at home.  I will need assistance, probably 24 hr care giver because he would come home with a hospital bed and a lift.  The alternative would be a nursing home, which I will do anything in my power to prevent.

So pray that I will be able to show them I can take care of him at home.

He is continuing to improve every day, I hope he will be off of the feeding tube and eating on his own before he comes home.  His mental acuity is very good, short term memory is improving.  He is using his voice more and his vision is terrific.  It is mainly his legs and core body functions that need more time to come back.  He is a strong, determined man so, he'll come back with time.
