10W oil is not out of line according to documentation for my Western 
Union Model 100 series printer (circa 1940).  The documentation calls 
for  10W oil.

"Turbine oil" may have other additives that are either contra-indicated 
or pointless, and about that I'm ignorant.  (Clearly any additives for 
maintaining viscosity under high heat or high pressure are not needed.)
