Greenkeyers -
This coming weekend (May 3 - May 5), I will be broadcasting live
ITTY from the Military Radio Collectors Group meeting at Camp San Luis
Obispo, CA.
MRCG has been active since 1996, you can find out more about it here:
<http://www.mrcgwest.org/>
The ITTY broadcast setup has an iPad connected to RTTY.COM and
sending audio to a Telulex RF signal generator. The Telulex puts out
+15 dBm of USB on 9000 KHz - just enough to be heard around the
campsites and inside the display building.
Also, I will try to check into clatternet from Camp SLO. Ops there
are troubled by a high RF noise level, but we will persevere.
Clatternet always runs 850 shift USB, with standard military tones of
MARK = 1575 CPS and SPACE = 2425 CPS. Times are as follows:
0930 Saturday May 5th - 3580 KHz USB
0935 Saturday May 5th - 7087 KHz USB
0940 Saturday May 5th - 10137 KHz USB
Higher frequencies usually work best for the Camp SLO <> Pacific
Northwest path, but if we hear anyone on any of the frequencies we'll
play it by ear and try to get everyone together. Back in the years 2002
- 2003, the entire west coast was like a RTTY party line on 10137, and I
am looking forward to a return to those conditions. The clatternet
record was 12 checkins, back in those sweet times.
73, join us if you can hear us
