Kevin,
I have seen voltages from 85 to 260 volts on selector magnets as long
as the current flow is optimized to 62.5 milliamperes.
Design voltage is between 120 and 130 VDC.

Derek,
I have a 69B rectifier that came with my TG-7's. It does not have the
83 rectifier tube, but has a solid state "rectifier adapter, 9445A"
which I can't find much information on. Although it easily was
adjustable to 60ma the output voltage seemed high to me at 187 volts
d.c. I have since been advised that teletypes will tolerate voltages
in excess of that. I still intend on replacing the capacitors because
they are relatively inexpensive.
