This sounds very interesting but I must confess I am not familiar with 
exactly what  this is?? Could some kind soul enlighten me??

I'd have to say the MD-522 MODEM - which (if I have the name
correct) some of you will recognize as part of a 3-unit
communications system.

When we ran final test on them we fed them a canned signal plus
noise. There were some times when all you saw was noise on the
o-scope - but the little guy was printing perfect copy.
