Teletypes *do* something, modern computers are black boxes.

And no worries about TTY safety, I taught my kids about various mechanical and 
electrical dangers from a very young age.  You can't do that with all the safety 
shields up.  Besides, if you teach kids by blocking access everywhere, they will 
get the message and continue to keep out, and that's the last thing we want!
