[GreenKeys] Historical TTY Prints

Hello All,
I'm sure everyone who browses Ebay in search of TTY goodies have seen the
so called wire service copies of historical events that came over the wire,
Kennedy assassination, end of WWII, etc. Some of these 'documents' are
listed for hundreds or more dollars.

My question is this. Wouldn't these things be almost childs play to fake?
Just run a copy on some old roll paper and a time suitable machine and
presto, an instant historical document. Gee, load the copy into the computer
and you can print out dozens, no work.

I'm sure there would be a way for an expert to verify when the printing
occurred, ie recently or years ago, but I'd bet it would be very expensive.
And from the few ads I've looked at no seller is verifying their
originality.

My cynical nature says these things are 90 percent fakes. Am I right or
wrong?

Keith, ve3ts
