My Dear Brother-in-Teletype Don;
Maybe we should ask to take this RTTY group slightly off-topic
for just one thread - and compare our illnesses.
As the saying goes: "there is comfort in misery".
I retired at 50 yrs old. Not bad. Despite the stock market mess, I'm
doing OK.
I came down with Ulcerative Colitis.
U-C is a "disease" of the large intestine. It gets "inflamed" and
there is major damage to it.
"THEY" (the medical community) don't know:
o what causes it.
o how to cure it.
o (really) how to even treat it.
The disease is so variable that the diets go from "liquid" to "anything".
It goes well for me that I can't eat "fiber" but can devour all the
BigMacs I want without an issue. In fact, the more "junk" I eat, the
better I am doing...
EXCEPT...
My blood pressure numbers are off-the-dial.
I'm cutting-back on my junk-food eating habits - but anything that
requires the digestive-system to do its job properly causes problems.
I can "feel for you" and your problems.
Maybe some of the others in this group can post their problems and we
can all see that "no one is free from ailments".
I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses - and although I refrain from preaching
in this newsgroup, the Bible, in the book of Proverbs, points out that is
is easier to deal with a broken body if your mind is sound - than it is
to deal with a sound body when the mind is broken.

Tony J. Podrasky | So, there I was: standing in the middle of the
| Interstate, wearing nothing but a fireman's
| helmet, waving a bottle of Old Granddad and a
| sawed-off shotgun, minding my own business, when...
| Naw - you're probably already heard this one.
