And if there is a tornado or earthquake your ham station will be buried in
rubble, or blown all over the countryside, and you might be gone with it.
You have to decide what eventuality you are likely to encounter and
what you want to survive.
Things I've been through in the last dozen years are multi-day power
outages, where a generator kept me on the air and the wire telephones
and Internet kept working.
