I thought this was interesting.  Not only is the data collected on us
used to push directed advertising at us, it is starting to modify what
is fed to us in our searches, news feeds, and other info.  We don't need
to hear the other side of the story, do we?  Less controversy = less
disgruntled people.  Who needs balanced editorial content when we can
now get more of the tiny, biased slice of what we really know, and not
be bothered by any of that other stuff, of which we do not?  We can all
now just be happy, contented, Stepford citizens.  It's a brave new
world:
