[GreenKeys] Wanted: Hal Telereader CWR 6850

I have one of these (not for sale) and for YEARS I've been looking for a keyboard for it! When I first bought it, I was not a ham yet, so keyboard was unimportant. But now I'd love to find a keyboard. I love almost anything with a green screen. I also changed my characters to the smaller one (setting somewhere I forget where). So now I get more characters per line. Looks better to me.

Good luck finding one, and if anyone has a spare keyboard let me know!

Keith,

I don't have one for sale, but I use the one I have on and off again.
It works well, I'd say on the order of the ST-5000 TU.
I haven't looked at the schematics, so I don't know how much there is in common between the two.
It's not as accurate as my old ST-6 and a well tuned Teletype.
I would say if falls a little bit short of MMTTY too.
They are nice and compact and fairly intuitive so it doesn't take long to begin using one.
Every HAL collector should have one. :)

Hello Fellow Listees,
Anyone have the above mentioned TU they would consider selling or trading
for other interesting TU's? Or even any thoughts on its performance.

Thanks,
Keith ve3ts
