Francis,
If the jacks were added by the previous owner, probably they are simple
jacks and go directly to the selector magnets and the keyboard contacts. Or
maybe through the original LESU to the magnets and contacts. But look at the
jacks and see whether they are simple phone jacks or have switches built in.
If they are simple phone jacks, you can series the magnets and keyboard by
using two plugs with a jumper running from one to the other and the two
wires in the cord going from the remaining two plug terminals to the ST5000.
If the physical spacing of the two jacks is correct, you could use a dual
plug. You could also get a jack for the keyboard that has normalling contacts
and wire it such that with no plug in the jack, the keyboard is in series
with the magnets. With a plug inserted you could get the keyboard on the plug
and a jumper to keep the magnets connected to a plug inserted in the magnet
jack.
Or you could simply remove the two wires from the keyboard jack and one
wire from the magnet jack, tie the magnet and one keyboard wire together and
connect the remaining keyboard wire to the jack terminal from which the magnet
wire was removed.
None of which would be exactly original, I guess.
