And things like billing (post) cards, etc.  Most of my water 
systems use one of the Epson DFX printers.  The DFX-9000 
printer is "fun" - it moves paper at incredible speeds - and 
the inertia from the print head is nothing short of 
awesome.  Place the printer on a wooden table - something 
like a microwave cart- and watch a DFX destroy it in a very 
short time.  The 28s (and similar) use a pneumatic dashpot 
to slow the carriage on a CR - the Epsons use electronic 
breaking...  But when a print head is laying down 1550+ 
characters per second; it doesn't waste any time in any 
given spot - so all that energy gets transferred to the table.
