That's wonderful news.  I think I had run across the name of American
Telegraph Typewriter at some time in the past but didn't know anything
about the product or its connection with the Cardwell family.

If I'm interpreting what you say correctly, there are no nameplates or
patent plates or anything like that on the unit itself; only what is
printed on the crate identifies it.  Not that there is any question about
that being a positive identification.

Don's machine is now reposing in my basement.  I hope we can find somebody
who wants it permanently.
