Subject: [GreenKeys] Teletype Parts and EquipmentAvailability - Brookline,
New Hampshire
GreenKeyers - - -
The other evening I received a telepohone call from a Mr. Steve
Murray, K1KEC, residing in Brookline, New Hammpshire, which is about
15 miles from Nashua, N.H.
Mr. Murray and his wife want to migrate to Florida (imagine that)
and she has expressed a desire to not haul all of his teletype
"stuff" with them.
He would like to receive some manner of compensation for the items,
but is not inclined towards any manner of Mega-Profit.
He has a Stelma TDA-2.
There are several machines and/or components of the 14/15/19 genre.
There is a fair quantity of teletype parts in original packing FSN
series 5815, which was/is primarily the Teletype Corporation Fed
Stock Number.
He also has what he estimates to be maybe a half mile of assorted
picture tapes, poems, etc which originated from an amateur with
callsign W1LOY.
He works nights, so the best time to contact him is between 11 AM
and 3 PM (1100-1500) Eastern time.
His telephone number is 603-672-5851. He has no e-mail.
The haggling and wheeling and dealing is up to those who contact
him.
I don't think he is of the ilk of the dude who haunts the auction
water-world wanting $5.00 each for oil wicks, felts, and seldom used
code bars, but I think he should be treated fairly.
Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder, but sometimes what people ask
for teletype parts and equipment appears to be closer to a Harry
Potter Fantasy than the real world.
Go for it!!
