I've just been cleaning up a M28 keyboard with an infestation of
that white mold or fungus or whatever...using a green nylon pot scrubber
(3M) wetted.
Also I took out a cabinet leveling foot and found it to be a standard
bolt thread 1/2-13. So from a place like W. W. Grainger you can get
casters with a threaded stem in that size. They have a variety of
wheel diameters and materials (soft or hard) and load-carrying capacities.
I haven't decided which is best, but I'm going to start out with 4-inch
wheels in soft material for use on a hard floor.
