What you are in need of is an old Air Force Manual designated "Manual 99MA".

The Manual is very good. It tells you all about the Power Distribution 
Panel.

There are complex electrical diagrams designed to enlighten savvy personnel 
and bewilder the disadvantaged.

It discusses at length a device depicted as an "Automatic Typer".

It does state in the safety precautions that there are hazardous voltages 
inside.

It is also somewhat adamant about the necessity of having a First Aid 
Resuscitation Chart posted nearby.

It further states that you are not allowed to work on it alone.

And as the guy hawking the two widgets for $19.95 on TV implores:  "BUT 
WAIT!! THERE"S MORE".

The manufacturer has issued a ninety-day warranty. All you have to do is 
return it to the factory Post-Paid and they will fix it for you if the 
defect is proven to be the manufacturer's fault.

The manufacturer is some Fly-By-Night bunch calling themselves the

The only date discernable in this crummy book is on the very first page 
whereon in the upper right hand corner where it says "MAY, 1953".

The photos are in living Black and White. Close scrutiny of the photo of the 
innards of the cabinet definitely show three, count 'em THREE, Terminal 
Strips side by side, noticeably shorter than what the average teletype 
enthusiast most often encounters, which is two much longer terminal strips.

Jim, I seriously doubt that a person of your ilk can live without a copy of 
Manual MA99.

This manual is Rated "G" and is suitable reading for the whole family.

Of course, there is an alternative to Manual 99MA.

We teletype doctors are allowed to prescribe generics in the event 
availability of the called-for medication is limited.

We here at BS, Incorporated try and find the best substitute possible, and 
in your case we strongly recommend you consider acquiring a book approved by 
the Navy Bureau of Ships (BuShips, in the vernacular of former swabbies, 
squids, jarheads, and other flotsam and jetsam that clutter the seas and 
oceans of the world) dated 9 July, 1952, and is the revered NAVSHIPS 91713 
publication, entitled:

                      INSTRUCTION BOOK

                                     for

                       TELETYPEWRITERS
                    TT-47A/UG, TT-48A/UG
                 TT-69A/UG AND TT-70A/UG

Manufactured by a knock-off company composed of varlets, cutpurses, 
ne'er-do-wells and slaggards calling themselves -

                 TELETYPE CORPORATION
                      CHICAGO,  ILLINOIS

Obviously less prosperous and inferior because they were not allowed to put 
the "14" in their company's address.

What can I say, Jim???

Both manuals come in a sturdy hard cover edition bound in classic U.S. 
Government Grey, with stylish Government Black lettering.

Unfortunately, Navy version of the  manual is rated "R" due to the fact that 
the authors of this version have included expletives such as MX-1114/UG or 
MX-1115A/UG, because sailors swear a lot and cannot understand the material 
unless an off-color word or two is added to clarify the meaning of what the 
author is trying to say.

Jim, again I beseech you and urge you to call early and avoid the rush.

Negotiate cautiously. These manuals are PRICELESS!! If you have to mention a 
price, you CANNOT afford to buy.

We employ either US Government certified delivery, or as an alternative, men 
in brown utility fashions can be coerced into delivering your copy, either 
means doing so for a modest fee, to be reimbursed by the purchaser.
