I'm sure he does, Jim. They're widely sold in Europe too, receiving 
either MSF on 60 kHz from Anthorn in the North of England or DCF on 77 
kHz from Frankfurt in Germany.

I have a recollection that there's a fourth standard time transmission 
to cover Oceania and the far East, but can't remember where it is.

We used to use receivers on British Rail to synchronise the clocks on 
stations which were of the pulse type. They were quite expensive, but 
now you can buy wall clocks for just a few pounds and even wrist watches.

If folk are looking for other sources of time, then the digital 
terrestrial TV channels contain a time signal as do the TV satellite 
transmissions. GPS has already been mentioned. I believe many telecomms 
digital links use timing from GPS for synchronisation.
