More like Slick willy talk huh?
Sounded like a career marketing type with lots of language and word skills saying essentially nothing, just a snowball rolling down hill....

No, no you can't use Ethernet on a VT-05. Hell you can't use an
Ethernet cable on any of the DEC dumb terminals. You can however
connect the VT-05, to one of those equally expensive Cray personal
supercomputers (it's only the price of a car) which is connected to
this cable.
And, seriously? What idiot buys an Ethernet cord for 10K? If it's
digital data being sent down the cable guess what? Error correction
fixes any "problems" created by a "lesser" cable already. Seriously,
it looks like the cable I just made five minutes ago... except someone
decided to cover the cable with fabric, and added a bling-y boot to
the cable end. Otherwise... it's a normal Category-5e cable. (I doubt
it's Cat-6.) Also, if they're listening to MP3s? Yeah, no cable is
going to fix your crap audio if you use a lossy compression format.
(In internet slang: Learn to FLAC, noob.)
I might like audio that isn't suck, but I'm not an audiophile. So
those audiophiles that are so insane as to buy a ten thousand dollar
ethernet cable are clearly amazing, especially since the cable itself
probably cost a whole five dollars (if that! ...thank you China...) to
make (mostly the cost due to the fact it's cloth covered and the thing
has a booted cable ends).
Cheers.
