The VT-05 was not just a "silly old 9,600 baud dumb terminal" it was
DEC's first video terminal.


But it's *not* worth a quarter million. For a quarter million I'd want
the terminal to:
> Be NEW IN BOX state.
> Be fully functional.
> Absolutely blemish free.
> Come with original sales receipt.
> Be terminal serial number 00001.
> Be signed by Ken Olson (founder of DEC).
> Come with a new in box PDP-8/E w/also new in box RK05 hard disk and TU56 DECtape drive - also all signed by Ken Olson.
> And maybe five more VT-05s too, also in the same state as a first (except with serial numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.)

The average going price on a VT-05 is about 1.5K to 3K, mostly becuase
they weren't that populous and they were the first glass TTY made by
DEC.
