I wonder how many of these folks have ever had their
hearing tested. I am hors de combat as far as high end audio
these days because of hearing loss but I used to have
"golden ears". A lot of what people ascribed to some voodoo
was just plain old harmonic or intermodulation distortion, I
mean lots of it. When I was selling the stuff I tested a
high end wire called Kimber Kable against lamp wire. Well, I
was astonished that it did make a difference. This was a
long run, maybe 25 feet. The difference was plain old
resistance, the No.18 lamp wire had much more resistance
than the about No.12 Kimber Kable, it was enough to change
the damping. Any large wire would have made the same
difference as I proved to myself. Of course, the ideal is to
have the amplifier at the speaker.
Has anyone tested to see if a Teletype machine will
print faster if supported on pyramids?
