Go for it! I am always glad to see TTY gear such as this get into the hands of those who appreciate it. My main concern is to not see any of this stuff wind up in the land fill.

I'm pretty interested in this machine and it's only about 4 hrs from
here in St. Paul to the target.  I have no 5-level equipment yet so this
would be an entry level piece for me.

I do have a full M28 documentation set.  Does that apply to this
model also?  ie, is the basic machine the same as a 28KSR but just in
a different housing or were they a different mechanical design altogether?

Will I be able to get a "B" key from someone? :-)
