I think the weather symbols all went out with computers and ASCII.

Something I keep imagining I would do, but probably never will, is to
have a program that downloads the hourly sequences from the weather
service and then reformats them into the old weather symbol style.

The messages are still out there, look for SAHOURLY.  They now have a
K in front of the old 3-letter code (in the U.S.).  Instead of the cloud
symbols they say CLR, SCT, BKN, or OVC.  They give the wind directions
in degrees rather than in arrows, and the temperatures are now in Celsius.
And various other changes that you would have to undo to get back to the
old format.
