Hi there Everybody --

Name's Tom here, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to TTY, so I joined this great group to further my knowledge about this great period of comm history !!

I was gifted with a Model 15 TTY here from a very good friend of mine, and I'm looking into powering up the beast here soon. I noticed that online, there really isn't much information regarding these monsters, does anyone know if a "how-to" paper was ever written for newbies that rescued an M-15 ?? I think that this list is probably as close as I'll get to finding such a paper, so I have a few questions please !!! --

Does the receptacle on the right-hand side of the machine, is that the input for the 110V required to drive the hefty electric motor ??

Also, there is a chance that the power toggle switch is broken in my unit it doesn't stay closed/open, and when I checked with an ohm-meter it doesn't make good contact as a result, does anybody have a spare they'd like to put up for adoption ??

I do have a well-built 120V power supply unit that can be used as a loop supply, so that should be OK. Is there a pin-out for the various terminal strips inside this machine ? I noticed a bunch of 'em, but I'm not really sure as to what they do, or what they're hooked up to !!

Any precautions I should know about when and if I light this thing off ?

Any and all help here would be most sincerely appreciated !!!

Thank you very much in advance !
