Well folks it almost over.  One more night on the road.  Tomorrow I meet up with James in Selma, AL and drop off a few items then the final push back to the Atlanta area begins.  It's just a "short" three hour drive from Montgomery to Atlanta up I-85 so I should be back in Stone Mountain late tomorrow afternoon.

Today involved the magic sled/trailer driven by Santa Steve visiting the QTH of Jonathan just north of Huntsville and dropping the M28 KSR from Dr House down Jonathan's chimney (not literally of course!).  But you would have thought Santa had really shown up to see the smile on Jonathan's face when we uncovered that baby to transport it into his shack.  I'm sure we'll soon see one or more of the photos he has taken of his new toy!

On the drive from Jonathan's to where we have stopped for the night we saw just a small bit of the damage done by the tornadoes that ripped through this area back in April.  We actually filled the gas tank at a fuel stop right next to one of the motels I had seen on the news that was totally destroyed.  And at the interchange on the interstate at that exit there were several of the very tall light pole they use to light busy interchanges that were down.  One of them was still upright half way up, but was bent in half such that the light cluster that is normally at the top was within just a foot or two of the ground but still attached to the pole.

That's it for tonight, but I won't promise I'll do the final edition tomorrow night.  Might be Thursday or Friday before I surface again!  I hope you have enjoyed the trip as much as my wife, Puddin, and I have.  It has been a blast, especially meeting all the fine folks from the Greenkeys list along the way.
