Joe,

You can feed your system the ITTY stream off of the internet for
lack of TTY signals on HF (though that might be changing here in the
near future...don't want to say more).

Depending on where you are at, you might also be able to receive
DDK9 out of Germany. They don't really send anything but METAR
coded wx data but hey, a RTTY signal is a RTTY signal ;)

GL and have fun,
Joe

Subject: [GreenKeys] Heavy Metal

I have finally got Heavy Metal (as well as Windows 2000) reinstalled
on my old laptop. I will use this as a single purpose computer as
one of several sources of feed for my Teletype machines. It works
(on the computer), and tomorrow, I plan on installing the serial
port driver, and getting the RS232 to current loop converter hooked
up and working. When I get my TTY building finished, I will hide the
computers somewhere, as I want this to be a period looking
environment. I cannot wait to get my ASR 28 hammering away again!

One question...

Can anyone recommend any other sources of feed for this project? Do
the news wires still provide TTY feeds?

Thanks again!

Best,

Joe
