[GreenKeys] Good Cleaner

I find this to be extremely interesting. I wonder if you are using "old"
or "new" gumout. You see, "old" gumout used to employ Xylene in it's
formulation as the principal "varnish" cutter and I always loved it as a
reliable carburetor cleaner. Of course all of you 60 year old kids don't
know what a carburetor is.
Then the younger and, of course, first generation to know anything,
discovered that Xylene was a fairly good carcinogen so they re-formulated
gumout to eliminate xylene. And the new stuff wouldn't touch normal
carburetor varnish. But then they also started to dink around with various
gasoline additives so who knew where things were going?
As long as I owned carbureted cars I simply went to "straight" xylene and
forgot about everything else. Today the only such vehicle I own is a '76
Ford F-150 whose carburetor was "eaten away" by the new fuels so it hasn't
moved for many years and sits quietly in the woods.....
