Darryl,

Which model 74 did you find?  The A or the B model?  I have one of each.  At 
first glance, the A was a disaster because the platen "melted".  It was an 
easy clean up and the machine works great now.

FWIW, the "A" is always on the keyboard, you'll find if it's an A or B by 
checking the data plate on the machine's side, not the KB data plate.
