About 20 years ago there were a few on 20 meters that about they did was
send the pix tapes on 14.090. They usually stayed on all day Saturday and
Sunday. About all that was done, was they sent the tapes to each other and
stopped every 10 min to send the station's call leters. Many would send a
cw id by shifting the opposite direction or a very narrow shift as not to
generate too many extra printing chatacters. As mentioned the tapes could
be very short or go over an hour. Many were about 15 to 20 min long.
