Thanks to the generosity of one of our members, I am now the proud owner of my first teletype, an ASR 32:

In addition to the teletype, I received a tour of an enviable ham shack, a demonstration of a couple teletypes, and a couple hours of visiting with a fantastic host. Thanks, Dave! I couldn't have had a better 'formal introduction' to this aspect of the hobby.
