Hi Greenkeyers -- I'm looking for a set of 100 WPM gears for my
Teletype Corp. DXD test set. The military calls it a TS/383 test
set while the Bell System calls it the 1A Teletypewriter test set.
It's also known as the stroboscopic test set. The pinion is part
no. 110889 and it has 12 teeth. The gear is part no. 110890 and it
has 36 teeth. The gears on the DXD are unusual in that they are
not attached to the shaft with a screw. Rather, they are secured
to the shaft by the gripping action of a collet that is integral
to the gear. It requires 2 wrenches to attach or remove a DXD
gear. I'm also interested in any other DXD gears you might have.
If you have a DXD test set that you no longer use, let me know
about that too. Let's make a deal.
Regards, Jerry Murphy
