While we're on baud rates and speed, I've a question on the military UGC-74 series machine.
It has the following baud rates selectable; 45.5, 50, 75, 150, 300, 600 and 1200.
There are two choices of format, Baudot or ASCII. We use 110 baud rate on Heavy Metal to feed the Model 35 ASCII TWX machine....100 WPM and baud rate of 74 for Baudot at 100 WPM.
I cannot get the military machine to copy 100 WPM ASCII from the Heavy Metal and thought is was because the machine has no selection for a 110 baud rate.
So, would it be correct that the military machine cannot copy 100 WPM ASCII ????
It's not a problem with the RS 232 output of the com port because by reversing that polarity into a Mil 188 input, it will print correctly....as with Baudot 45.5, 60 WPM.
Any suggestions on settings regarding what to set parity for...odd/even. Stop bits 1 or 2 ? ? ? I've tried various combinations to no avail.
Thanks,
Lar
