[GreenKeys] CommCenter-2 Virtual Circuit

All Interested:

Some of you are regular monitors of the Virtual Circuits
provided by the CommCenter-1 Group. These circuits provide
a pseudo CommCenter and RATT environment for those who
want to see and hear teletype traffic such as it might have
been in the old days before computers came along and spoiled
everything.

Some updates:

The CommCenter-2 Virtual Circuit (RUCICSA/AUTODIN OPNET //CC-2//),
is temporarily inoperative at this time due to server-provider issues.
We expect that it will be back sometime in the future, but don't have
a firm date as to when. Stay tuned. Likewise, the CommCenter-2
Media Center is offline, but will return once it has been reconstructed.

During the interim, your attention is invited to two other operating
Virtual Circuits in the CommCenter-1 Group:

CommCenter-8, a simulated 60 wpm send/receive Virtual Circuit
with military-style formatted traffic of the 1st Signal Brigade at;

CC-8 operates as an ACP-127 formatted (tape relay-era) circuit

and

CommCenter-9, a simulated 60 wpm Radio Teletype Virtual Circuit
with similar traffic of interest which replicates to some degree a
Fleet Broadcast link.

CC-9 accepts all formats (ACP-126, 127, 128, JANAP 128, NAVTEX and
WMO and most others).

These circuits are REPLICATORS only, and are neither sound-syncrhonized
nor Heavy Metal compatible at this time (although making them that
way is a possiblity sometime in the future so they will operate with
real teletype equipment).

Be sure to turn on your sound system for teletype and AFSK audio.
Feedback is always welcome. All SYSOPs are also members of the
Greenkeys lists, so will hear your comments, both positive and otherwise.

If you are interested in sending traffic, contact me for specifics.
You will need a Routing Indicator and a MIL Call Sign in order to send
traffic. SOP practices include all ACPs, Q and Z signals and all
the references, jargon and lingo that went with the operation of these 
facilities years back. We try and keep it all alive here for fun,
entertainment and enjoyment.

All of these circuits are being upgraded as time permits by their
various SYSOPs. An AUTODIN Mode V replicator circuit is in the works.

The CommCenter-1 group is for current, former and retired military
CommCenter, RATT, Tech Control, Crypto, Tape Relay, AUTODIN and
others familiar with military record message protocols, procedures
and technical topics of general interest. It is not a MARS, ham or
hobby radio group. All military services are represented. For a 
limited time, membership in the CommCenter-1 (CC-1) group is
being extended to GK members who are further interested in
how the military once did things v/v teletype systems.
