Are you sure it wasn't a Silent _700_?? :-)
I have several of those too... including the first version which is the
size of a very large suitcase. It has a Novation acoustic coupled modem
in it. 110 _and_ 300 baud!

Believe it or not but we can still get thermal paper that works in
those units at outfits like OfficeMax and Staples. FAX machines still
use the same paper and although it comes on smaller diameter rolls,
it works A-OK in these printers.
