[GreenKeys] Interesting modem for a teletype up on eBay

Yeah, it does make quite a bit of sense to build a modem into the
teletype. Though, I always thought that the small acoustic coupler
modems didn't appear - en masse - until the 70s. (And wasn't that the
time when printing terminals were starting to get put aside for glass
TTYs and other assorted dumbterms.) Then again the Bell 212 came out
in 1972.

Also, I didn't know that Ma Bell owned Teletype Corp. that would've
been quite the conflict of interest if they equipped their
teleprinters with acoustic coupler modems! Well... a conflict of
interest with the head office.


Why is it that all the interesting things happened before I was born?
The future is boring! ... Then again, we do have the internet now.
