Today has been about the same as yesterday, wondering about the
status and condition of my internal systems, and trying to get
comfortable.
As of 0800 PST Friday my weight was sitting at 221 lbs, about the
lowest it has been in about 30 years.
Going to the john no longer offers a standing option. The cabin
light always says please be seated.
The check-list offers an inventory of items which you might find
within your stomach cavity. Today I successfully found the guide
wire for the stent, which strangely resembles a model 28 wire rope,
the stent itself, akin to an inner tube from an english bicycle
tire, a ten-page mini-manual on alternate uses for kidney stones,
and a check-out tag for a Stihl 24-inch bar chainsaw which
purportedly belongs to the hospital.
Staying warm is afforded by about eight inches of blankets under
which I huddle and try to keep close to body temp.
Entertainment today was afforded by the local Wal-Mart and their
daily "Can You Guess Where we Have Stashed It Today?" contest. You
get extra points if you have something in the basket.
Today I made points with the store manager when I asked him why the
hell it was necessary to elbow the clods waiting to get at the
Red-Box DVD Machine out of the way in order to get a shopping cart?
He said the Red Box People don't want to inconvenience their
clients, but they would look into it after the tireshop and paint
department was remodeled.
I will make a sincere effort at getting out here tomorrow morning
after a decent night's sleep, and once again try to get things back
in order.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Kidney stone problems
are NOT the simple thing one would think they are, and I certainly
would not wish this on anyone.
73,
George - W7TTY
